MOMO., the long-running musical project of Brazilian singer-songwriter Marcelo Frota, has collaborated with LA-based dream pop artist Alex Siegel to release a captivating new track “By My Side." It is the third single from his forthcoming EP ‘Sail Your Boat Into My Sea’, which is slated for release in September.

Produced by Alex Siegel, “By My Side” is a tender track that explores similar sonic territories as the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Bibio and Bon Iver. With a summer breeze vibe of the 1970s, both MOMO. and Alex Siegel showcase their pensive vocals, warm instrumentation, and magnetic songwriting skills on this track.

A Brazilian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Portugal, MOMO. absorbed many artistic influences during a youth spent between Brazil, Angola and the U.S., and as an adult in Chicago, Barcelona and Rio de Janeiro. His music has been acclaimed by media publications around the world such as NPR Music, O Globo, and Chicago Reader, and by iconic artists Patti Smith and Talking Head’s David Byrne, to name a few. His latest album, ‘I Was Told To Be Quiet’, was produced by Grammy-winning and long-time friend Tom Biller.

One of the founders of psychedelic pop band Amo Amo, Alex Siegel's music has been played on KCRW & KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, the BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM's Discovery Channel, and various college radio stations across the US. The Wild Honey Pie says “Alex Siegel has mastered the wistful summer song”; KCRW's Today's Top Tune calls Alex's voice “dreamy”; and Huffington Post described Alex's music as “sublimely beautiful”.
